Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who support our mission by volunteering your time leading up to the event and the day of the event.

A special Thank you to the Cycle Planning Committee, Rest-Stop Captains, Campus volunteers, and Emmaus staff. The endless hours of support are greatly appreciated!

Volunteers play an important role in planning and executing the Cycle for Shelter. We couldn't do it without you! You can make a big difference without ever riding a bicycle!

Cycle for Shelter

Volunteers

"Make a Difference"

Volunteers are needed to help at Northern Essex Community College and at the rest-stops. Call Terri Rousseau; 978.241.3425

We'd also love to have Emmaus supporters cheering on our riders on the route. The four rides pass through a number of local communities. Please go to the routes posted on the right bottom part of our webpage to see if you know someone who can do this. Download the Emmaus sign of encouragement and decorate with your own style , this will give the riders such a boost as they "Cycle for Shelter".

WE ESPECIALLY NEED VOLUNTEER BIKE MECHANICS, MASSAGE THERAPISTS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS TO VOLUNTEER THEIR SERVICES FOR THE DAY.

Would you like to go an "extra mile" for Cycle for Shelter so that Emmaus can continue to serve the 300 men, women and children who were homeless but now have shelter or housing, thanks to the funds raised by this annual Bike-A-Thon?

1. All riders participating in the event have a minimum fundraising amount that they must reach. Fundraising is not required for volunteers but consider this... if every volunteer raised only $100 the would raise another $20,000. You can use all the on-line tools available to riders at (INFORMATION POSTED SOON) to ask your friends and family to sponsor you for participating in the Cycle for Shelter event as a volunteer.

2. We are always looking for volunteers prepared to join the year round planning group or to take on more responsibility as a volunteer team leader. For more information about what is involved please call or email the event coordinator Rachel Thompson at 978.241.3437, rachel@emmausinc.org
