Welcome to the Cycle for Shelter Training
Site. This page links to a calendar of training rides
that will help you prepare for the Cycle for Shelter; online resources on how to prepare
for a Century Ride; and a
list of local bike clubs. Other opportunities to join group
rides are also available. The sooner you begin to prepare the
more fun you will have.
*Jeff Russell, a recreational cyclist who has ridden the C4S
century for the past 12 years is the Cycle for Shelter Emmaus
Training Team (ETT) Coordinator. During that time he has
completed over 50 long distance events (greater than 80 miles), making
plenty of mistakes (not enough water, too much speed, wrong
clothing, etc.). He hopes to share his knowledge as he travels
the road with you.
