View 2011 Cycle for Shelter
Photos
On Sunday, 24, 2011 cyclists chose from four exciting routes of 20, 50, 62
(100K) or 100 miles, winding along the Merrimack River through historic
Rocks Village and along the scenic New Hampshire seacoast. The Cycle
For shelter event has been listed in the country's premiere cycling magazine
"Bicycling" as one of its readers favorite rides.
Thank you for our
wonderful
Sponsors,
Donors, Participants
and Volunteers for
their generosity,
support and
compassion toward
the families and
individuals we serve
at Emmaus.
We would also like to thank our Cycle Planning Committee who
dedicated countless hours to ensuring the success of this year's
event.
Riders are still accepting donations through August 31st. To
find a rider, please click on
"Support a Rider".
This year more
than 2,500 homeless
adults and children
will seek help from
Emmaus as they face
homelessness, a
crisis that most of
us can only imagine
in our worst
nightmares.
Emmaus needs your
financial support to
insure that we’ll be
able to provide what
they need to rebuild
their lives –
emergency shelter,
housing search
assistance,
affordable housing,
adult education and
job training, and
support services.
With dwindling
resources from the
state and federal
governments, we are
turning to you for
help.
Here’s the good
news. Armed with
sufficient
resources, Emmaus
can get the job
done. In the past
year, we have moved
200 homeless
families and 80
individuals into
permanent housing.
YOU WON’T REGRET
IT!
After the event riders raising $500 in addition
to their registration fee will receive an award.
